Launch Party Success Story | January 20, 2026

On January 20, guests gathered for a high-energy launch party and fundraiser gala that showcased the very best of our region’s culinary and beverage scene. Eighteen food and beverage booths and presenters filled the room with a true cascade of canapés and beautiful bevies, each one a celebration of local talent, creativity, and hospitality.

From expertly crafted bites by featured chefs to wine, beer, spirits, and thoughtfully prepared non-alcoholic libations, every corner of the event invited guests to taste, mingle, and discover something new.

Live music set the tone for a vibrant evening, while entertainment and a few unexpected delights kept the energy high throughout the night. The live and silent auctions were a standout highlight, featuring highly sought-after items and generous bidding in support of a meaningful cause.

Proceeds from ticket sales and the auction benefited Dine About Charity Partners: the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation and Nanaimo Community Kitchens, reinforcing what this event is truly about: bringing people together to give back to the community we love.

More than a party, the Launch Gala was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when chefs, producers, sponsors, volunteers, and food lovers come together with a shared purpose. It set the tone for Dine About Mid Island 2026: generous, joyful, and rooted in connection.

Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, performed, sponsored, volunteered, and supported this incredible evening. If this launch was any indication, the season ahead is going to be delicious.

Spring Celebration

We’ve made the decision to postpone the Dine About Wrap-Up Party to allow for better timing for you to join us in celebrating! After reviewing the calendar, we recognized that the originally planned dates falling on Super Bowl Sunday and the days leading into Valentine’s Day might limit your availability. Rather than rush a celebration, we’re choosing to create space for something even more meaningful.

We’re excited to explore a spring fundraiser in support of the Dine About Charity Partners, giving us the opportunity to gather with greater momentum, broader community involvement, and increased impact. Thank you for your continued support of Dine About. We look forward to celebrating together soon and will share updates as plans take shape.
